Specified Technologies Inc. SpecSeal® EXC Firestop Collar is a factory-manufactured firestop device designed to protect 16” (406.4 mm) and 18” (457.2 mm) plastic pipes. The EXC Collar is comprised of a stainless-steel body with a molded intumescent insert anchored to a mild steel flange. The stainless shell is comprised of two-halves with locking mechanisms on both edges of the half circle. In the event of a fire, the collar quickly expands with heat (intumesces) to seal off the path for fire, smoke, and hot gases.
