New Fuel Pipe Protection with E-Wrap, Systems FP-3 and FP-4 – Two new systems are available for the protection of fuel oil pipe using E-Wrap Endothermic Wrap. FP-3 is for a single pipe and FP-4 covers double containment piping applications. The testing to promulgate FP-3 and FP-4 was conducted in accordance with UL 1489 “Standard for Fire Tests of Fire Resistant Pipe Protection Systems Carrying Combustible Liquids”. A through penetration firestop system for steel and iron pipes protected with E-Wrap passing through 2 Hr rated concrete walls and floors is addressed with C-AJ-5437.
