Designed to work seamlessly with SpecSeal Cast-In Devices, the Deck Reinforcement Kit addresses one of the most common structural concerns in composite deck construction: the weakening effect caused by penetrations through the fluted metal deck profile. Engineered in conjunction with the Steel Deck Institute’s (SDI) guidelines for reinforcing steel deck penetrations, the steel deck plate reinstates structural integrity to the penetrated deck - a performance claim supported by independent third-party testing in accordance with ASTM E72. Reinforcement components maintain continuity of the Cast-In Device pathway through the deck profile while allowing for optimal concrete encasement, preserving composite strength where it matters most.

Installation requires no specialized tools, and the integrated snap‑in feature makes placement of Cast-In Devices quick and easy. With all penetration work completed up front, STI’s solution eliminates the need to revisit openings after the slab has cured, reducing labor and keeping projects on schedule. Deck plates can be ganged together and accommodate 2" (51 mm), 3" (76 mm), and 4" (102 mm) SpecSeal Cast‑In Devices.
